Queen Elizabeth to visit Game of Thrones set during Northern Ireland trip
IT HAS BEEN announced that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will be getting their fangirl and fanboy on, as they take a tour of Westeros next week.
As part of their upcoming trip to Northern Ireland, the royal duo will pay a visit to the Game of Thrones set in the Titanic Quarter. The outing was confirmed via Twitter:
Game of Thrones finished up its fourth season this past weekend and is currently prepping for its fifth season, some of which is rumoured to be shooting in Spain. (Boo.)
All this begs the question: does the Queen *actually* know what Game of Thrones is? Are her sensibilities not a bit too, shall we say, delicate for the show?
Either way, cue lots of headlines with throne puns.
